Total reported load
Total electricity load as reported by the grid operator, in MW.
Different system operators might have different definitions for what they report as the total load. Some include losses or exclude storage, while others don't.
The total-reported-load endpoints return data as reported by system operators and do not follow a consistent definition across grids.
Use total load to access load data calculated by Electricity Maps according to a consistent definition, with global coverage.
Forecasts
Forecasts provided on the total-reported-load/forecast endpoint are Electricity Maps proprietary forecasts of the load as reported by the grid operator. They are not the system operator's load forecasts.
